Tour the room
See the classroom your child would join and meet the teachers who run it. Ask about the Sheep Class, Lamb Class, or Little Lamb Class and the days they meet. The New Students Page has our brochure and application if you want to look first.

Enroll and settle in
Complete enrollment and plan a first week that suits your child's routine.
What to have ready
Most families gather a few papers before the first day. You will need enrollment forms, a health form and immunization record, emergency contacts, and the names of people allowed to pick up your child. Ask the school for its current forms so you know exactly what is needed.
Pack a full change of clothes in a labelled bag, since spills and puddles happen. Add outdoor gear for the season, and a comfort object if your child uses one. Label everything with your child's name so it finds its way home.
Before the first day, decide who will drop off and who will pick up, and make sure the school has those names. Talk with your child about the routine so the morning feels familiar. Tell the teacher how you would like to hear about the day.
The first weeks
The first days often start with a shorter visit and a familiar object from home. A teacher greets your child by name at the door. You can stay nearby until your child settles into the room.
At pickup, teachers tell you how the day went, what your child played, and how they rested. Ask about anything you noticed that morning. Most children settle into the routine within a few weeks.

What ages do you take?
Children from 2, 3, and 4/5 year-old classes.
Can we visit before deciding?
Yes. A tour is the best way to see the classrooms, the fence-enclosed playground, and how teachers guide the children. Bring your child along so they can try a puzzle or a book while you ask your questions.
What should my child bring on the first day?

What does a typical day include?
A day is built around arrival, play and learning, meals and rest, and outdoor time on our fence-enclosed playground. Our curriculum is based on PA Early Learning Standards for pre-K. Your child's schedule depends on their class and age. Ask the school for the daily timetable.
How will I know how my child is doing?
Parents usually hear about the day at pickup, and teachers are glad to answer questions then. If something comes up during the day, the school will reach out. Ask how you would like to be contacted.
Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?
Schedules depend on your child's age group and what openings we have. Call or email the school to ask what is available for your child.
What if there is no place right now?
If a place is not open for your child's age, ask to be told when one comes up. The school can note your interest and contact you.
What should I ask on the tour?
Ask how the day flows, when snack and lunch happen, and how pickups are organized. Ask about the first weeks of school and how teachers help a child settle into the room. Ask how teachers share news about your child, and whether you can visit before your first day.
